  • CAR 100

    Features:

    Description:

    CAR 100 is a solvent-free epoxy novolac ceramic system for the repair of steel surfaces subject to erosion, corrosion and chemical attack. CAR 100 will provide a surface that should also improve flow and equipment efficiency. It may be applied in a single coat application up to 500 microns without slumping. Multiple coats will be necessary in extreme circumstances.

    Description:

    CAR 200 is a solvent-free epoxy novolac ceramic sphere system for the re-profiling of steel surfaces subject to abrasion. CAR 200 can be overcoated with CAR 100 to provide a smooth surface that will improve flow and equipment efficiency. CAR 200 may be applied in a single coat application at 3 to 5mm without slumping. Multiple coats with steel reinforced mesh will be necessary in extreme circumstances.


  • CAR 300

    Description:

    CAR 300 is an epoxy novolac ceramic system for the repair of steel surfaces subject to erosion, corrosion and chemical attack. CAR 300 will provide a surface that should also improve flow and equipment efficiency. It may be applied in a single coat application up to 400 microns without slumping. Multiple coats will be necessary in extreme circumstances. Easy to apply by brush or roller to achieve a smooth finish. An optional Part C is available for additional reinforcement when a paste is required.


  • CAR 400

    Features:

    • CAR 400 is recommended for quick repair and rebuild of steel surfaces exposed to wear and chemical attack, i.e. impeller blades, shafts, pipes, valves and pump casings. The product is often used to smooth out weld joints in pipes, tanks and flanges, improving flow and restricting abrasion.

    Description:

    CAR 400 is a solvent-free epoxy blended with atomized steel alloys and cross-linked with unique fast curing high performance amines processed from renewable resources. The chemistry employed allows for rapid return to service even at low temperatures with options of low energy forced heat curing which achieves an extremely high level of cross-linking, resulting in improved mechanical performance and chemical resistance. The product is used to repair and rebuild worn steel surfaces subjected to erosion, corrosion and chemical attack. CAR 400 can be applied from thin skim, pit filling layers to 15mm rebuilds without slumping, and in its wet state is water mist smoothable. After 30 minutes in a semi-set putty state, the product is mouldable to desired shapes and once set can be machined to the exact tolerances which may be required.

    Description:

    Single package primer, resistant to spillage of mild acids and alkalies, aliphatic solvents, etc., with suitable topcoat. Easy to apply by brush, roller or spray.


  • Carboclad 938 Finish

    Features:

    • Finishing coat for inorganic zincs, vinyls, epoxies and other recommended primers and intermediates.
    • Topcoat for Carboclad 938 Vinyl System.
    • Used for the upgrading of existing coating specifications for structural steel, piping and tank exteriors, etc.

    Description:

    An economical topcoat with good chemical resistance, flexibility and weathering properties. Compatible with a wide range of generic primers and intermediates. Easy to apply and rapid drying. Available in safety and coding colours.


  • Carboclad 938 Primer

    Description:

    Heavy-duty primer formulated to provide long term protection of structural steel. It provides excellent adhesion and can be welded through to yield sound welds.

    Description:

    A high gloss alkyd finish that dries to a uniform, touch film. It has very good application properties and can be used over properly primed metal surfaces. Compatible with most alkyd primers. Provides excellent protection in mild environments.


  • Carbocoat GP-55 Primer FD

    Features:

    • Recommended as a shop primer with appropriate topcoat for use on structural steel, equipment and other ferrous surfaces in mild industrial and architectural environments

    Description:

    An economical primer for protection of steel surfaces. Has desirable characteristics for shop application. Easy to apply by spray, fast drying with good wetting properties. Good resistance to atmospheric weathering. Most alkyd topcoats can be applied over Carbocoat GP-55 Primer FD.


  • Carbocoat GP-64 Undercoat

    Features:

    Description:

    Carbocoat GP-64 Undercoat is a moderately fast drying universal undercoat. It has excellent flexibility and good abrasion resistance. It can be applied over most alkyd primers, as an intermediate coat or as a flat finish.

    Description:

    This extremely durable and chemically resistant cladding utilizes a multi-step curing process that incorporates chemically-fused glass flake reinforcing in a highly cross-linked polyester matrix. The resultant layer is an extremely durable barrier against a variety of exposures including marine, fresh water, salt water, both mineral and organic acids, bleach solutions, and free chlorine. The multi-layer glass-flake reinforcement greatly impedes the penetration of water and other corrosives making this system extremely long performing.

    Description:

    Ultra-durable solvent-free coating for use on steel and concrete substrates subject to severe impact and physical abuse. This aggregate filled coating offers exceptional abrasion resistance in heavy-duty marine and splash zone environments. It is ideal for high abuse areas on offshore structures exposed to aerated sea water (splash zone), boat landing areas, or working decks, lay down areas, helidecks, or walkways.     Description:

    Dense, highly impermeable glass flake-filled coating used for protecting steel and concrete. This versatile coating provides an impenetrable film for severe exposures in marine, offshore, petrochemical, pulp and paper and other aggressive environments. Optional use of light or course grit fillers provides nonskid properties.

    Description:

    Penetrating primer/sealer for use on concrete substrates and Carboline Pyrocrete Fireproofing products. It performs extremely well in sealing cementitious surfaces and is designed to receive a variety of different generic types of finish coats. Some recommended uses of 1340 include the use as a curing compound or form release agent. When applied to “green” concrete it will retard the escape of moisture during the cure period. It is also excellent for use as a form release coating on plywood or steel forms.

    Description:

    An economical, high build primer or intermediate coat. Cures to hard, tough film with excellent sub-film corrosion resistance. Carboguard 193 has excellent adhesion and better tolerance of field application variables than other types of coatings. It is also recommended for shop application.

    Description:

It can also be used in immersion service for salt water, process water (non-potable) and waste water treatment projects; and is ideal for coatings under insulation up to 300°F (149°C).

Tank Shield Plus remains water tight over a hole in 2 atmospheres of head pressure.

    Description:

    This is an extreme performance coating for hot, cryogenic and cycling exposures. Thermaline Heat Shield contains a unique blend of plate-like reinforcing pigments fortified with an inert polymeric matrix. The resulting film provides an outstanding barrier against corrosives and harsh exposures typically seen in elevated temperature environments. This versatile coating is ideal for all piping, vessels and equipment operating from cryogenic conditions up to 1200°F. It is particularly well suited to prevent corrosion under insulated equipment/piping for both carbon steel substrates and stainless steels. This fortified coating has superior shop handling properties over standard silicone coatings (see Curing). It is recommended for CS-6 and SS-5 systems of NACE SP0198 Standard Practice for coatings to control corrosion under insulation (CUI).

    Description:

    A two-component, high performance coating which has outstanding resistance to wet / dry cycling conditions at elevated temperatures. Film is internally reinforced with a combination of aluminium and micaceous iron oxide (MIO) flake for superior barrier and thermal shock resistance. While it is typically used to protect steel substrates under insulation operating up to 649°C, it can also be used on non-insulated steel surfaces. It can handle cryogenic exposures and will cure effectively at ambient conditions to provide corrosion protection without additional heat curing. It has excellent chemical resistant properties to handle the corrosive effects of wet insulation under thermal cycling conditions. This product is recommended for CS-6 and SS-5 systems of NACE SP0198 Standard Practice for coatings to control corrosion under insulation (CUI).

Thermo-Lag 3000-P has been extensively and independently tested in accordance with: UL 1709, UL 2431 Category I-A, ISO 834-3, IMO FTP Code (IMO A.754(18) for H-0, H-60 & H-120 Divisions, ASTM E84, ASTM E119, ISO 20340, NORSOK M-501 5A Fire and Corrosion Testing, and NFPA 290 (extended to 150 minutes).
